Tortita bien ahogada.
Torta Ahogada = Drowned Torta. This dish was born in Jalisco, so if you go to Guadalajara, these will be everywhere. But dont fret, these delicacies can be found in some other parts of the country.
The salsa is very spicy, however some places will have mild versions. You dont like to get messy? You can ask for a Torta “Medio-Ahogada” (half drowned). What kind of meat is inside? Lusty carnitas.
A must.
